Safe Access All Areas

In line with the Government’s modified workplace guidance, some construction sites are now re-opening having developed safe ways of working. We are therefore re-opening our production and warehousing facilities from 4 May in order to meet customer demand in key market sectors.

Operations re-opening from 4 May

During the past week, the Government has modified its workplace guidance for employers and employees. This has resulted in some construction sites reopening as Contractors have developed safe ways of working, by incorporating the latest set of guidelines. We are therefore beginning to see demand return to areas of our business.

In order to meet customer orders, we are re-starting operations and despatches from our Bilco UK site in Bury St Edmunds from 04 May 2020.

This marks the start of a carefully controlled phased return to work for Bilco UK, to address increased customer demand in specific construction market sectors, especially Commercial. We will continue to monitor Government advice and react accordingly, if there are further changes to the guidelines.

We are implementing all necessary safety measures to ensure we operate within Government guidelines and maintaining two metres of separation between employees. This has introduced some changes to the way we operate, and we are constantly reviewing alternative processes and PPE to ensure that our employees remain safe.  The measures we had adopted prior to lockdown, covering cleaning, personal hygiene practices and temperature screening, will form part of the new ways of working. Employees that are deemed to be ‘at risk’ will continue to be protected.

We continue to have a team of staff working from home, to take calls, provide quotations, technical support or answer any other questions you may have.
